Alan Stokes

Head of Investments

Alan joined Lawrence House Fund Managers (formerly Pharon Investment Management) in June 2004 to manage its range of Multi Manager portfolios and launch the company's Multi Manager OEIC.

Prior to joining Lawrence House, Alan was Senior Fund Manager and Head of Multi Manager funds at Solus Fund Managers, part of private bank Brown Shipley.

Alan started his investment career in 1969. He was with Hoare Govett from 1973 until 1981. Since then he has worked for several financial institutions such as Towry Law, Britannia Unit Trust Managers (now Invesco), NatWest Stockbrokers, LMD International and Aurora Financial Group. In 1996 he founded, with two partners, The Investors Partnership, a specialist unit trust research company, becoming Chief Executive.

Alan has been a regular media/TV commentator on collective funds. He was a founding director of the National Association of Broker Fund Managers, served as a member of the London Panel of Investment Professionals for AUTIF and IMA, and is a Fellow of The Securities Institute.
